I am Mihwa Han. I mainly use Python (+5 years) for programming, and I especially like pandas and seaborn. I am currently a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science at Boston, MA. For my 3-week-long Insight project, I consulted with a meal delivery start-up to increase customer satisfaction via different meal selections. I used a Random Forest Regressor model (in sklearn) to predict the popularity of each meal using features like the main ingredients, and I finally delivered the results/recommendations with a Python/Flask Web App which allows the company to efficiently improve their menus.
Before being a Data Science Fellow, I did several independent projects using a number of different machine learning techniques, such as clustering, regression, classification, natural language processing, and neural networks. You can read articles related to those projects either on this website or on my github.
In my school, I have two Masters degrees (majoring in Astronomy & Space Science). In my graduate studies I used statistical analysis and data cleaning on astronomical imaging data.
I like snow boarding, board games, and starting any journey!
